# Claude API

> Anthropic Messages API on Omniall AI.

# Claude API

Use Anthropic **Messages** format:

anthropic-version: 2023-06-01

```

(`x-api-key` is also accepted.)

| Scenario | How |
| - | - |
| Text chat / stream | `messages` + `max_tokens` (+ `stream`) |
| Image understanding | Image content blocks in `messages` |
| PDF / document analysis | `document` content blocks |
| Web search | Server tool `web_search_*` (when enabled) |
| Agent | Claude `tools` + `tool_choice` |
| Extended thinking | `thinking: { type: "enabled", budget_tokens }` |

Required fields: `model`, `messages`, `max_tokens`.
